I was delighted to be commissioned to paint a portrait of the home of a recently married couple as a wedding gift to themselves. They had received some money as a gift and chose to spend it on a painting of their lovely home.
They had enjoyed my Fox Hill in the Snow I, so with this in mind I focussed on The Spring wisteria, colourful shrubs, whilst the dynamic angles and shadows create some drama.
This is Jack the Cat in his first year and enjoying being in his photo shoot and playing in and with the shadows. This contemporary pet portrait of was a piece of commissioned art for a truly unique birthday gift. If you would like your feline friend caputured forever as a gift to yourself, your family or their owner, please contact me directly to find out about Commissioning a pet portrait as a gift.
Here is a recent commission of the youngster Humphrey "Doodles" Spaniel for a birthday present. He is such a jolly hound and I am lucky to know him very well.
A corporate retirement gift of a lioness which was based on a photo taken on a holiday. A lovely personal present from colleagues. This lioness now resides in Paris.
Here is a recent commission of the much loved Hector Spaniel for a birthday present. He was very well received.
So how does that work? Well because the work is not in a gallery, I don't have to pay the gallery a commisson. I also don't have to carry your painting as a stock item so I can pass this benefit on to you and you will save 30% on the price of a painting.
For example a painting the size of To the Sea is 914mm x 762mm x 30mm, is hanging in Bigger Picture Gallery and costs £725.00. To commission a work of this size in acrylics would cost from £500.00, that's a saving to you of £225.
This is a general guideline and of course costs will vary depending on the nature of the work: size, medium etc and your location. If you have a budget just let me know and where possible I will try and fit in with that.
In some cases a consultation fee will be applicable where I need to travel or do some preliminary work.
A deposit of 50% of the work will be paid before the work begins with the remainder upon completion.
Once the work has been completed the outstanding balance will be paid. Once this payment is received the piece can be collected from the studion space or posted as appropriate.
Returns must be made within 30 days of delivery to qualify for a refund.
Refunds will be given to clients returning the work undamaged within 30 days of receipt.
I refer clients to the Terms and conditions.
